Clin d'oeil

Salut a tous

Episode 1 : The Ultimate Tofu Store Drift
As Tak Fujiwara helps deliver tofu for his dad over the years, he unconsciously acquires racing skills. At the same time, the #2 driver of the Red Suns racing team, K.T. Takahashi, accidentally meets Tak and challenges him to a racing battle.

Episode 2 : Revenge! The Rumbling Turbo
Team Speed Stars accepts the Red Suns' challenge and the ace of the Speed Stars, Cole, struggles to find the Eight Six that defeated K.T. Takahashi to become a legend of Akina.

Episode 3 : The Downhill Specialist Appears
Cole learns about Tak's father, Bunta, and how he's the fastest driver on Mount Akina. Cole injures himself in a car accident, so he asks Bunta to drive for his team against the Red Suns but ...

Episode 4 : Into the Battle!
On the day of Akina Speed Stars' battle with the Akagi Red Suns, Cole waits for Bunta to appear to drive for his team against the Red Suns, but Tak shows up, reluctantly, in his place. Everybody is in a state of shock, but Tak shows his super technique that blows everyone away.

Episode 5 : Dogfight!
Because Tak is so well-trained on Mt. Akina, he keeps the pressure on K.T. and ultimately defeats him with a racing technique that only a driver who has truly mastered the tricks of the mountain would know. Tak experiences the true joy of racing for the first time, and even enjoys a leisurely drive with Natalie afterwards, as well.

Episode 6 : A New Challenger
From out of nowhere comes a menacing GT-R, driven by the Night Kids leader, Zach. Meanwhile, Tak takes Cole for a 'simple drive,' but Cole passes out in awe of Tak's incredible technique.

Episode 7 : Pride of a Racer
A new foe appears: Zach from the Night Kids challenges Tak to a battle, but Tak still really isn't into competition. Tak gets some encouragement from his boss and then finally decides to meet Zach's challenge on the road.

Episode 8 : Time's Almost Up!
Iggy frets when Tak doesn't show up for the showdown with Zach - since Iggy basically committed Tak to the race on his own. Finally, Bunta finally gets back home with the Eight Six and Tak barely makes it to the race on time.

Episode 9 : Eight Six vs. GT-R
At the outset of the big race, the GT-R takes the lead due to its technical superiority ... but the Eight Six that Bunta tuned somehow manages to stay in the race. And, as the GT-R loses front tire grip, the Eight Six begins to catch up to the GT-R ...

Episode 10 : 5-Point Hairpin
On the 5-Point hairpin turns where Tak previously beat K.T., Tak and his Eight-Six manage to take the lead and Zach spins out of control. A few days later, Iggy mistakenly buys an Eight-Five thinking it's an Eight-Six, but after some chiding from his friends, Iggy decides to stick with it and make it the best race car he can.

Episode 11 : Shingo Arrives!
To prove the Eight-Five's potential, Iggy and Tak defeat the S13 and 180SX. Then another rival appears: the Night Kids' Shingo. Not only is Shingo a good driver, but he also turns out to be an extremely dangerous man.

Episode 12 : The FR Killer
Cole tells the rest of the Speed Stars about the race with Shingo and his EG6. Shingo shows up and challenges the Eight-Six to a 'Duct Tape Death Match' (using duct tape to tie one hand to the steering wheel).

Episode 13 : Iggy's First Date
Iggy goes on a date with Natalie's friend Saori, but while on his date he spins out because of Shingo's dangerous maneuvers around him with his EG6. Upon hearing what happened, Tak accepts the Duct Tape Death Match against the EG6.

Episode 14 : Evolving Drift
The Duct Tape Death Match begins! The right hands of both drivers are duct-taped to their steering wheels. At first Tak finds this quite the challenge; evenutually, though, his incredible ability begins to shine through.

Episode 15 : Takumi's Fury
As Tak passes by Shingo with his 'inner drop move,' Shingo tries to ram his car into the Eight-Six to knock it off balance in order to win.

Episode 16 : The Angel of Usui
Maya and Simone are the fastest drivers in Usui, and are affectionately known as the 'Angels of Usui;' they drive a Sil-Eighty. Cole, not knowing who Maya is, asks her out for a date.

Episode 17 : Sudden-Death Death Match
Somewhat reluctantly, Cole accepts the race at Usui for Tak. This is the first time Tak will race on another team's home turf, and he's really looking forward to it.

Episode 18 : Hot Winds & Furious Driving!
In its debut at Usui the Eight Six keeps pace with the opponent, but at the final C-121 corner, Tak makes a miraculous drift out of the corner ...

Episode 19 : Super Drift!
Maya keeps on driving at an unbelievable level, but in the final stretch, the Sil-Eighty spins out, leaving Tak an opening ...

Episode 20 : The End of Summer
Cole finds Ry's picture in Maya's wallet and gets really depressed, thinking that Maya secretly likes Ry. He decides to break a date with Maya, but suddenly realizes his folly and hurries to the appointed meeting place ...

Episode 21 : Challenge From a Super Star
Finally, Gunma's #1 superstar racer, Ry Takahashi, challenges Tak to an ultimate race. Meanwhile, Tak deepens his relationship with Natalie.

Episode 22 : Fierce Uphill Battle!
It's strategy versus speed as K.T and Zack go head-to-head.

Episode 23 : The Rainy Downhill
Tak accepts a challenge from team Night Kids.

Episode 24 : Akagi's White Comet
The tension is almost unbearable as Tak prepares for his race with Ry Takahashi!

Episode 25 : The Last Battle

Episode 26 : The New Downhill Legend

Episode 27 : A New Threat

Episode 28 : Team Emperor on Akina
Team Emperor continues its sweep of the Gunma area and Akina is their next target! Next to the Lan Evo, the Eight Six is outclassed but with Tak behind the wheel, anything can happen.

Episode 29 : The Feeling of Defeat
The battle between the Eight Six and the Evo IV begins, and the pride of every racer in the Gunma area falls upon Tak's shoulders.

Episode 30 : Hollow Victory
Team Emperor takes a fall and Tak remains Gunma's number one driver. However, Tak feels that he didn't earn the victory since it was on his home course and vows never to race on Akina again.

Episode 31 : Countdown to Destruction
Tak sees Natalie in a Mercedes with another guy. Pissed off, Tak gets to Mt. Akagi filled with rage and begins to race. The 86 battles the overpowered Evo, which contains the legendary mis-firing system.

Episode 32 : Goodbye Eight-Six
During the epic race, Tak suffers from the difference in horsepower. While he wins a little distance in the cornering, he loses the lead in the straight-aways. Bunta begins to worry about Tak.

Episode 33 : Battle at Akagi
Iggy tells Tak he is going to go watch Ry's and Kyle's battle. It's a battle between the epitome of motor sports technique and the essence of mountain battle technique.

Episode 34 : Dangerous Car
The Evo takes the lead from the FC! Everyone's excited, but the pressure is mounting on Kyle, who feels like he's being hunted down. Ry has figured out Kyle's weakness! Back in Akina, Bunta is about to unveil the return of the Eight-Six.

Episode 35 : The New Eight-Six
After test-driving the new Eight-Six, Tak is dissatisfied by the lack of horsepower. Meanwhile, Iggy's happy to find an Eight-Six Turbo in town. Aki, the owner of the turbo, learns that there's a legendary Eight-Six in Akina, and he begins to ponder the possibilities.

Episode 36 : The Eight-Six Turbo

The new high revving engine begins to excite Tak's racing spirit.

Episode 40 : Beyond The Impact Blue
As usual Mako and Sayuki are racing on Mt. Usui. But Mako can't concentrate on her driving because of the break up with Iketani. They both learn from Shingo that a team made of Lancer Evolutions called Emperor is targeting Usui now, to conquer the Gunma area. Will Mako and Sayuki be able to defeat the Evolution team?

Episode 41 : Sentimental White
Mako and Sayuki are out snowboarding. There they meet up with Shingo who introduces the Night Kids' Miyahara to Mako. This was Sayuki's and Shingo's plan to get them together. Mako and Miyahara gradually become closer, but one day Miyahara tells Mako that he is going to quit racing and asks her to quit, too.
